Frantz is a veteran stage, television and film actor. He has performed in over 50 stage productions including the Los Angeles productions of the Ovation Award, The Last Season (Robey Theatre), Hospitality (Odyssey Theatre), The Grunt Childe (East-West Players), An American Tract (The Group Repertory in NYC), Julius Caesar (The Public Theatre), A Love Play (The Negro Ensemble Company), Daughter (Manhattan Theatre Club), and Slow Dance on The Killing Ground (The City). As a TV actor, he has appeared in numerous hit shows from Hill Street Blues to Desperate Housewives. Notably, he was cast as Abe Matthisen on NCIS, Principal Earl Carter on the long-running PBS series Madison Heights, and had a recurring role as Mr. Gilliard on The King of Queens. He also served as the Dialogue Director on 46 episodes of on the Emmy award-winning hit series Benson. His film credits include many urban comedies from Going Beserk with John Candy, to I Got The Hook Up produced by Master P. Frantz just completed filming Destin Cretton’s short film, Term 12, a Sundance winner. In the summer of 2013, he is opening a new acting school for Ivana Chubbuck in Bucharest, Romania. He continues to study and teach at The Ivana Chubbuck Studios in Los Angeles.
