Producer/Director/Writer

 

Al is the president of Diamond Tower Entertainment, an entertainment company specializing in film and video production and marketing.  His long list of accomplishments span three decades and includes producing and/or promoting national concert tours in association with Louis Grey, Norby Walters and Al Haymon.  Anchored by years of successful promotions, he began managing and producing top hip-hop groups in the 1980s including JJ Fad, Tha Alkoholiks, and Sista Style, guiding them in achieving chart success and burgeoning careers. A graduate of Merrick TV & Film School where he mastered the art of production and video and music recording, his extensive list of credits include producing and directing over 100 of 30- minute SCC90 shows, 25 music videos for a range of artists in Hip-hop (Almighty Dollar by Show’N’Tell, Mop the Floor by Tanieya, and Ride Dirty by Big Earl),  Gospel (A Sovereign Move by Lamar James; The Wilderness by Chosen;  and I Do by Elaine Norwood; Too Close by Bernard Lilton) and Alternative Rock (Amazing by Ten West, and You Know by Everchanging Nomad); numerous stage productions and feature indie-short films. A gifted storyteller, he has completed several screenplays ready for pre-production.  His film credits also include Bring Back the Harmony, starring Charles Wright and Maxine Waters; and Baby Girl - All Access, starring Shugar Jones, King Kedar and Darren Miller.  Al has been honored by the NAACP, ASCAP and the City of Los Angeles for his creative contributions and community service.  He is a Cable Ace Award winner and the founding member of the Committee for Excellence in Black Music in association with ASCAP, which creates positive outlets and provides opportunities for inner city youth.
